As part of the Hedge Fund Accounting IT organization, you will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and developers across multiple global locations to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.\nThe ideal candidate is a strong software engineer with hands-on experience inRust and Python development, API-first architecture, and modern software design practices. We are particularly looking for developers who actively leverage AI-Driven Development tools and techniques to improve productivity, code quality, testing, design, and delivery efficiency.\nExperience with cloud-native technologies and distributed systems is highly desirable.\n Your Role\nYou will design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable microservices and backend platform components using Rust and Python.\nBuild API-first solutions following OpenAPI standards and best practices.\nApply AI-Driven Development techniques and tools to accelerate software development, testing, documentation, and operational efficiency.\nCollaborate with architects, product managers, and engineering teams to design robust and scalable solutions.\nTroubleshoot, optimize, and resolve application, API, and performance-related issues.\nDevelop and execute unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure software quality and reliability.\nMaintain awareness of emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and engineering best practices, and evaluate their applicability within the organization.\nParticipate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and design discussions.\nWork closely with DevOps and release engineering teams to deploy new features and production improvements.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and operational runbooks.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tooling, and platform architecture.\nApply software design patterns and engineering best practices to deliver maintainable, scalable, and secure solutions.\n About You\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.\nMinimum of 3 years of professional software development experience building backend applications, APIs, or microservices using Rust and Python.\nStrong hands-on experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.\nDemonstrated experience with AI-Driven Development, including the effective use of AI-assisted engineering tools for code generation, testing, debugging, documentation, code reviews, and software design.\nStrong programming skills in Rust and Python, with solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and clean code practices.\nExperience developing and operating microservices in distributed environments.\nUnderstanding of API security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2, JWT, and service-to-service authentication.\nExperience with Python package management and dependency management tools (pip, Poetry, or similar).\nWorking knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker.\nExperience with source control systems and modern development workflows using Git.\nExposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is highly desirable.\nExperience with cloud-native services, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation is a plus.\nFormal cloud training and industry-recognized cloud certifications are considered an advantage.\nDemonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business and technical requirements.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nSelf-motivated team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\nPreferred Technology Keywords\nRust, Python, Microservices, OpenAPI, Swagger, REST APIs, AI-Driven Development, GitHub Copilot, Generative AI, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, CI/CD, OAuth2, JWT, Git, Distributed Systems.\nOur Benefits\nYour well-being is of paramount importance and central to our success here at Citco.
