Our teams work across multiple products and projects, providing broad business and technical exposure while delivering the reliability, scalability and security expected of enterprise financial systems.\nWe are looking for a senior software engineering leader who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills. This is a highly hands-on role where you will actively contribute to architecture, software development, technical design and production support while guiding engineering teams delivering strategic Private Equity solutions.\nThe position is based in our development center in Dublin and may require some international travel to other CITCO locations.\nAbout You\nYou are an experienced software engineering leader who combines hands-on technical expertise with strong people leadership and sound judgement to lead the delivery of complex solutions.\nRequired Skills:\nProven experience as a Senior Developer, Team Lead or similar technical leadership role.\nRemains hands-on across architecture, design, development, code review, troubleshooting and production support, leading by example through direct participation in delivery.\n\nMentors and coaches developers through active collaboration and technical leadership.\n\nDrives engineering excellence through modern development practices, automated testing, CI/CD and continuous improvement.\n\nPartners with business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.\n\nDemonstrable experience effectively utilizing AI-assisted development tools to improve developer productivity, code quality, testing and documentation.\nExperience integrating LLM and agentic AI capabilities into proof-of-concept, MVP or production solutions where they provide measurable business value.\n\nAbility to apply sound engineering judgement when reviewing, validating and deploying AI-generated outputs.\n\nAppreciation of the security, privacy, governance and compliance considerations associated with enterprise AI adoption.\n\nDemonstrable experience of the following:\nProviding technical leadership and engineering direction to geographically distributed teams across multiple products and technologies while remaining actively involved in delivery\n\nAccurately estimating size/complexity of software development projects\n\nDelivering complex software projects on time, within budget and agreed scope with low production defect rates.\n\nStrong technical understanding of the following:\nEvent-driven architecture and asynchronous integration patterns\n\nWeb services, REST/GraphQL, with either Node.js or Python\n\nReact-based Front End development\n\nServerless architecture, preferably on AWS\n\nData security and privacy best practices, data governance and compliance requirements\n\nOutstanding troubleshooting skills and adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies\n\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively throughout the organization at all levels.\n\nMust be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, have strong organizational skills and effective delegation of tasks to team members\n\nDemonstrates competence in key areas of management and leadership expertise including: relationship and conflict management, communication, quality management, risk management, and the achievement of targets\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent\n\nThe following skills are aplus:\nWorking knowledge of accounting and reporting principles in the Private Equity area\n\nWorking knowledge of performance fee, management fee, carry and equivalent calculations\n\nAbility to effectively convey information of a highly technical nature to non-technical audiences\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nWithin your first 12 months you will\nBecome a trusted technical leader across multiple Private Equity initiatives.\n\nDeliver strategic software enhancements with high quality and low production defect rates.\n\nImprove engineering effectiveness through appropriate application of AI-assisted development tools.\n\nContribute directly to the design and implementation of cloud-native solutions.\n\nHelp establish engineering practices that improve both delivery speed and software quality.\n\nMentor engineers through active technical collaboration and example.\n\nThe successful candidate will be collaborative, self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced global environment.
