Our mission is to embed design as a core driver of business outcomes.\nThe Design group continues to grow globally, with an ever-increasing scope of activities and projects. The Design Team Lead role will involve leadership of a team focused on a strategic digital transformation program, working with resources in the Design group locally and globally.\nThis is an opportunity to lead a team and participate in every aspect of the design process, from discovery and ideation, to prototyping, testing iterating and product launch. Responsibilities include regional line management, and contributions to running significant engagements.\nThe position is based in Toronto and may require some international travel to other Citco locations. This position reports will report to the Design Director, interact with business stakeholders, and various engineering groups.\n Your Role\nYou will lead a Design squad/pod to achieve business objectives within a specific domain/program journey, driving and orchestrating the design activities as well as ensuring design work is delivered on time with high quality that complies with the new Design System\nLead the design process from ideation to execution, ensuring that designs align with product goals\nEstablishing regular check-ins to ensure progress towards business objectives, and providing coaching, guidance, and mentoring to drive excellence in performance and behavior\nPush AI integration in Design by actively driving exploration of AI tools with your team to boost design efficiency. Support the team in integrating AI to automate tasks, enhance workflows, and improve the overall design process.\nSupport the growth and development of the team, including building designer capability through feedback and coaching, and contribute to the recruitment and retention of high-performing talent\nCollaborate with Product, IT, business, and cross-functional team members to solve user needs\n About You\nGeneral\nYou are passionate about user-centered design, systems thinker, visual designer, you can apply design principles to complex problems, from concept to detailed design stage\nReady to join a great design team: strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to navigate a dynamic cross-functional environment\nBachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience\nExperience\nYou must have 5+ years of experience in a UX Research or UX Design role, with supporting portfolio\nUX fundamentals: research, wireframes, mockups, prototyping, usability testing\nExperience with design tools such as Figma, Invision, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.\nExperience in usage of design systems to drive coherent design practices\nBeneficial: business domain experience in Alternative Assets, Fund Administration\nPortfolio of previous work must be presented including outputs and iteration\nSalary Range: CAD $120,000 - CAD $160,000\nThis position is not for an existing vacancy; we are building a candidate pool for future opportunities.\nOur Benefits\nYour well-being is of paramount importance to us, and central to our success.
