APIGEE / API Engineer Job Description: The Digital S/W Engineer Analyst role is accountable for exposing digital APIs both Externally for Partners and Internally to applications for digital channels like Mobile, Internet banking. As a API Gateway Developer, you will be responsible for exposing the APIs Securely through Proxy to external as well as internal consumers. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the API catalogues and configurations for their consumption. You will be working on different phases of SDLC lifecycle including Design, development, Unit Testing and Performance testing. You will also interact with business users and Business analysts to understand the requirements and conversion to business logic. Coding in respective languages as required by the respective API Gateways. Responsibilities: Complete understanding on API Gateway. A full understanding on Reverse Proxy and Security aspects and guard rails of API Exposure based on Regulations. Exposure to IBM’s APIC or Apigee or Scala Products Understand Customer Journeys and high-level solution design to scope out changes required and create technical specifications / LLDs for Application modules.
