The overall objective of this role is to assist in applications systems analysis and programming activities.\nResponsibilities:\nUtilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements\nConduct testing and debugging, utilize script tools, and write basic code\nAssess applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures\nDevelop working knowledge of Citi’s information systems, procedures, standards, client server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications\nServe as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\nQualifications:\nKnowledge/Experience: \n3+ (Developers) years hands on experience in pure technical roles in development of various software applications.\nTechnology:\nIn depth knowledge and application of Java, J2EE, HTML/CSS, Angular, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Struts framework, Spring and Micro service \nThorough understanding of usage of the fundamental concepts like Exception Handling, Static block/variables/classes, OOPS concepts, Collections, Multi-Threading, http sessions, session handling, Servlets/JSP life cycle, JDBC, actions, events, implicit objects, custom tags, context\nExposure to an industry-standard database (Oracle) on a UNIX platform with awareness of database design and SQL scripting knowledge and performance tuning\nAwareness of unit testing frameworks like JUnit or TestNG \nAwareness of application servers /webservers\nWork experience on the transactional applications for low latency, high availability uses is a plus\nWork experience in technologies like JMS / Kafka is a plus\nExposure to DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Lightspeed, Harness, etc.\nDomain :\nKnowledge of various treasury products, viz. FX, Money Markets, Fixed Income & Derivatives is a plus\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
