In this role, you will be responsible for validating backend database logic, data integrity, and ETL/batch processing pipelines. You will design, develop, and execute comprehensive database test plans and automated SQL/PL-SQL test scripts to ensure high data quality, system stability, and optimal database performance.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable, robust, and efficient automated test scripts and frameworks for both UI and API layers.\nCollaborate with product owners, developers, and other QA engineers to define clear acceptance criteria, user stories, and manual test scenarios.\nPerform testing of RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or Swagger to validate data integrity, functionality, and performance.\nCreate and maintain automated UI test suites using Selenium WebDriver and other Java/UI-based automation tools to validate user interfaces and end-to-end user flows.\nExecute functional test suites, perform exploratory testing, identify and document defects with clear steps to reproduce, and track them through to resolution.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of automation frameworks, tools, and processes, ensuring reusability, maintainability, and efficiency.\nIntegrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable rapid feedback and early defect detection.\nExecute automated test suites, analyze results, identify defects, and report on test coverage and quality metrics.\nWork closely with development, product management, and DevOps teams to understand requirements, define test strategies, and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of QA methodologies and processes, and test documentation standards to ensure high efficiency and coverage.\nShare knowledge and promote best practices in automation testing, including test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD).\nAssist in troubleshooting production issues by leveraging testing expertise and collaborating with development teams.\nRequired Skills and Qualifications\nProven experience (5+ years) in fintech/banking/ tech firms \nSolid experience in pl/sql development \nStrong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.\nExperience with version control systems, preferably Git.\nFamiliarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in an agile, cross-functional team environment.\nGood-to-Have Skills\nExperience with other programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automation.\nKnowledge of performance testing and security testing principles.\nFamiliarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.\nExperience with cloud platforms (Openshift, AWS).\nUnderstanding of microservices architecture and testing strategies for distributed systems.\nExperience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira,
