The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.\n\nJob Description\nThe Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. Responsibilities:\n\nUtilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code\nConsult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems\nApply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.\nAnalyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging\nServe as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts\nIdentify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions\nResolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents\nHas the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.\nCan exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.\nActs as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\nIndependently conduct analysis and execute tasks for a broad range of data initiatives, including data requirements, issues management, Data Quality rules, lineage, Data Governance, and taxonomy.\nDevelop and articulate business requirements and map current and future state processes.\nContribute tactically to strategic design and process improvement project implementation across lines of business and functions, collaborating with Technology and Operations.\nAppropriately assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating/managing control issues with transparency.\nWork as a Technical Data Analyst on the build-out of a data analytics platform for the Prime Finance business, owning the capture and documentation of clear data requirements using user stories and Confluence.\nCollaborate with business users on requirement gathering, identify systematic sources of data, understand data interlinkages, and grasp any logic or calculations performed on data sets and their use cases.\nDocument clear test acceptance criteria for requirements and work with QA to develop test strategies for both data and visualization layers.\nWork closely with development teams to break down requirements and ensure impacts are understood.\nCommunicate key project risks, define mitigation strategies, manage resolution, proactively follow escalation and change control processes, and provide regular project updates to business and technology stakeholders.\nQualifications:\n\n5+ years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry\nIntermediate level experience in Applications Development role\nConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication\nDemonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills\nAbility to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements\nComprehensive understanding of how various business areas integrate to achieve objectives, particularly within Treasury Finance. Experience in Data Governance - Data Quality, Data Lineage, Data Tracing\nStrong investigative and data analysis skills, including intermediate SQL\nProven experience in building out data visualization reporting platforms. Proficient in the creation of data flow diagrams and documentation for data integration processes.\nExcellent multi-modal communication skills to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences, with demonstrated ability to drive consensus, influence relationships at all levels, and negotiate effectively.\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
