While the role is part of a global team collaborating across APAC, EMEA, and North America, your primary operational focus will be working together with the Tokyo team to support local Japan/APAC business hours and facilitate seamless coverage into the London start-of-day window.\nIn this role, you’re expected to:\nCollaborate with the team to understand functional and operational requirements\nDesign and implement robust and testable code in support of the requirements\nDevelop certain non-functional features in the system to improve reliability, scalability and performance\nContribute to the design and implementation of automated test suites\nParticipate in code reviews helping other team members improve their code\nPartner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements\nResolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards\nProvide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint\nUtilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation\nDevelop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals\nProvide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients system analysis and in programming of software applications, especially as it pertains to performance and testability of components\nFamiliarity with Credit Derivative products and associated pricing and risk calculations\nAbility to be proactive, adjust priorities quickly\nExperience working on a mature development in a large collaborative environment as well as coming up with ideas that challenge current practices\nDemonstrated leadership skills\nTechnology Skills:\nExperience with Java ecosystem\nStrong understanding of Agile methodologies and best DevOps practices\nExposure to profiling, debugging and monitoring tools\nAmbition to learn aspects of systems supporting real time interest rate risk calculations\nUI experience is a plus.\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree/University
