We’ll enable growth and progress together.\nPosition Overview:\nThe Applications Development Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.\nResponsibilities:\nLead BI Development: Oversee the entire lifecycle of Tableau dashboards, from initial design to final deployment and ongoing support.\nData Visualization: Design and build insightful data visualizations to help the business understand complex data.\nPerformance Optimization: Ensure Tableau dashboards are fast and efficient.\nTeam Collaboration: Work with and support the offshore team in India.\nTechnology Exploration: Investigate and use Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to speed up development tasks such as coding, testing, and documentation.\nProject Management: Plan, estimate, and manage all phases of the development process.\nSupport & Mentorship: Provide technical support to business users and act as a mentor and subject matter expert for junior analysts and senior stakeholders.\nRisk Management: Ensure all work complies with company policies and regulations to protect the firm's reputation.\nConduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas\nMonitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users\nUtilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement\nRecommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality\nConsult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems\nEnsure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes\nServe as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts\nHas the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. \nCan exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. \nActs as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\nRecommended Qualifications:\n5+ years of relevant experience\nTechnical Expertise:BI Tools: Extensive experience with Tableau is essential. Knowledge of MicroStrategy or Power BI is a plus.\nData Skills: Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling and connecting to various data sources.\nBig Data/Analytics: Experience with Big Data technologies, Python, or R.\nAPIs & Platforms: Experience with API platforms, especially Starburst.\nDevOps: Familiarity with GitHub/Git, Lightspeed, and CI/CD pipelines.\n\nDomain Knowledge: Experience in the banking and finance sector, especially with FP&A and Treasury, is highly preferred.\nProject Management: Proven ability to manage and deliver successful projects.\nSoft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work well under pressure.\nExperience in systems analysis and programming of software applications\nExperience in managing and implementing successful projects\nWorking knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods\nAbility to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
