The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.\nResponsibilities:\nConduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas\n\nMonitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users\n\nUtilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement\n\nRecommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality\n\nConsult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems\n\nEnsure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes\n\nServe as advisor or coach to new or Junior analysts\n\nHas the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.\n\nCan exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.\n\nActs as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.\n\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\n\nRecommended Qualifications:\n8-10 years of relevant experience\n\nExperience in systems analysis and programming of software applications\n\nExperience in managing and implementing successful projects\n\nWorking knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods\n\nAbility to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements\n\nTechnical Qualifications:\n6 to 8 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role, ideally within Financial Services or a large, complex, and/or global environment.\n\nExperience in systems analysis and programming of software applications\n\nExtremely strong command of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.\n\nJava & Spring: Extensive hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.\n\nStrong hands-on experience in Java and Spark development\n\nExperience with Spring Batch for developing and supporting batch processing applications\n\nKnowledge and experience with business rules management and decisioning solutions, such as IBM Business Automation Manager Open Edition (BAMOE) or Drools\n\nMicroservices: Proven experience in designing and building microservices-based architectures.\n\nMessaging Systems: Strong experience with Kafka implementation for building event-driven systems.\n\nContainerization: Good knowledge of container technologies, with specific experience working with Red Hat OpenShift clusters.\n\nMicroservices: Proven experience in designing and building microservices-based architectures\n\nMessaging Systems: Strong experience with Kafka implementation for building event-driven systems.\n\nDatabase: Strong exposure working with enterprise applications using relational databases like Oracle as well as NoSQL databases like MongoDB for infrastructure-level concepts, including ELK, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Cloud, and AWS S3.\n\nAgile Methodologies: Solid experience working in and practicing Agile development methodologies.\n\nAI and Prompt Engineering: Wide exposure to and practical experience with smart AI tools and the ability to craft optimized prompts.\n\nLeadership & Behavioral Qualifications:\nProven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering technical growth and driving delivery.\n\nConsistently demonstrates clear, concise written and verbal communication, with the ability to take end-to-end ownership of projects and initiatives.\n\nFully committed and authoritative, able to make decisions confidently and drive them to completion.\n\nComprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities, and related reporting to identify best practices.\n\nDemonstrated analytic and diagnostic skills.\n\nAbility to work in a matrix environment and partner effectively with virtual teams.\n\nAbility to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative.\n\nAbility to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines or unexpected
