The Technology Corporate Banking group manages relationships with many of Citi's largest technology clients and emerging industry leaders. The Analyst will work closely with Associates, Vice Presidents, Directors, and Managing Directors to deepen client relationships, identify business opportunities, and deliver integrated solutions spanning lending, Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS), Markets (FX), Debt Capital Markets (DCM), and Investment Banking products.\nCareer Development Opportunity\nThe Senior Analyst role sits strategically between the Analyst and Associate levels and is designed for high-performing professionals who have developed a strong foundation in financial analysis, corporate finance, and credit fundamentals. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to assume greater responsibility in transaction execution, client coverage, and strategic advisory work while gaining increased exposure to senior client management teams and internal stakeholders. The role also provides opportunities to mentor and develop junior Analysts, serving as a key contributor to both client deliverables and team development.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Client Coverage & Technology Sector Advisory\nPrepare high-quality client presentations, relationship reviews, executive briefing materials, and meeting preparation documents for senior management and client interactions.\nConduct corporate finance analyses, including capital structure assessments, debt capacity analysis, liquidity reviews, funding strategy evaluations, and capital allocation considerations.\nMonitor technology sector developments, competitive dynamics, and strategic trends, including M&A activity, AI adoption, software business model evolution, cloud transformation, cybersecurity developments, and digital infrastructure growth.\nPerform industry research and peer benchmarking across software, IT services, hardware, communications technology, and related subsectors to support client discussions and strategic recommendations.\n2. Financial Analysis & Modeling\nDevelop and maintain financial models used in evaluating client performance, capital structure, liquidity, and financing alternatives.\nAnalyze historical financial results, forecasts, recurring revenue trends, cash flow generation, leverage metrics, and key operating performance indicators.\nConduct sensitivity analyses and scenario testing to support financing recommendations and client discussions.\nEvaluate financing structures and potential impacts on credit metrics and financial flexibility.\n3. Credit & Risk Partnership\nPartner closely with Credit Underwriting and Independent Risk teams to support credit approval processes, annual reviews, and transaction underwriting.\nAssist in preparing company overviews, industry analyses, transaction rationales, and supporting materials for internal credit discussions.\nMonitor portfolio developments, including quarterly performance, credit metrics, covenant compliance, and sector-specific developments affecting clients.\nHelp coordinate information requests and due diligence efforts across internal stakeholders.\n4. Transaction Execution & Cross-Product Coordination\nSupport the execution of syndicated loans, revolving credit facilities, bilateral loans, and other financing transactions.\nCoordinate with product partners across Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS), Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Markets, FX & Rates, Investment Banking, and Equity Capital Markets (ECM) to deliver integrated client solutions.\nAssist with transaction processes, including due diligence, documentation review, approvals, closing activities, and post-closing requirements.\nSupport KYC, AML, and onboarding activities in coordination with operations, legal, compliance, and credit partners.\n5. Teamwork, Leadership & Development\nMentor and provide guidance to junior Analysts on financial analysis, presentation preparation, and transaction execution processes.\nReview work product for quality, accuracy, and consistency while helping to maintain high team standards.\nCollaborate effectively with bankers, product partners, underwriting teams, and support functions across the firm.\nContribute to a high-performing team environment through knowledge sharing, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nDemonstrate strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nQualifications\nRrelevant experience in Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Credit Analysis, Leveraged Finance, Commercial Banking, Corporate Finance, or related financial services roles.\nStrong understanding of accounting, corporate finance, capital structures, financial statement analysis, and credit fundamentals.\nDemonstrated experience building and interpreting financial models, evaluating financing alternatives, and analyzing company performance.\nAdvanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.\nStrong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to internal and external stakeholders.\nStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.\nDemonstrated teamwork, professionalism, and client focus.\nSIE, Series 79 and 63 licenses within 150 days of joining.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrior experience supporting technology sector clients or demonstrated interest in technology industry trends and business models.\nFamiliarity with syndicated lending, debt capital markets, treasury management solutions, and other corporate banking products.\nExperience coordinating across multiple stakeholders and managing portions of transaction execution independently.\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline with a strong academic record.\nAdditional Characteristics\nCommitment to personal growth and career development.\nStrong desire to learn and succeed in a team-oriented environment.\nKnowledge of the technology industry and broader business landscape is a plus.\nStrong communication, planning, and organizational skills.\nPassion for client service and delivering exceptional results.\nDesire to develop a deep understanding of corporate banking, capital markets, and strategic corporate finance.\nUnquestioned commitment to integrity, professionalism, and ethical decision-making.\nWhy Join Citi Technology Corporate Banking?\nThis role offers exposure to some of the world's most innovative technology companies and provides a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of client coverage, corporate finance, capital markets, and strategic advisory.
