Cyber Security Engineer

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will:
- Design, configure, and implement various Network security solutions to meet citi’s security requirements.
- Collaborate with other cybersecurity professionals to evaluate and integrate new security technologies and Vendors to design and implement comprehensive and robust security controls that meet business and regulatory requirements.
- Implement security best practices to maintain the highest level of security
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity technologies and trends
- Write technical guides, automation tools, working with Vendor provided utilities and author, maintain, and update technical documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Ideal background:
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Ciso/Arista networking and Check Point/Palo Alto/Fortinet and opensource firewall technologies , and their management systems and their capabilities.
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role
- Leverage open-source automation and coding tools such as bash scripting, python language, Ansible.
- Ability to proactively identify and respond to security threats against the managed infrastructure components.
- Familiarity with datacenter networks and enterprise Campus LAN technologies is a plus
- Knowledge with Kubernetes containerization.
- Author and maintain comprehensive technical documentation that provides detailed insights into implemented security systems and processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong hands-on experience with network devices, firewalls, linux systems, ability to mass-manage configurations, quickly being able to troubleshoot security controls and networking.
- Understanding of frequently used security protocols, such as routing protocols, VPN, IPsec, and SSL/TLS and experience with network security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, Proxies, WAFs, ect
- Familiarity with security best practices and industry standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS or experience with security frameworks such as SANS, and industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
