The overall objective is to use infrastructure technology knowledge and identified policies to process data, resolve issues and execute administrative tasks.\nResponsibilities:\nCreate complex project plans, perform impact analyses solve/work high impact problems/projects, and provide resolutions to restore services\nDrive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service\nDesign testing approaches, complex processes, reporting streams, and create automation of repetitive tasks\nReview requirement documents, define hardware requirements and examine and update processes and procedures as necessary\nProvide technical/strategic direction and act as advisor/coach to lower level analysts\nDevelop projects required for design of metrics, analytical tools, benchmarking activities and best practices\nResponsible for overall operating system applications\nContribute to technical direction and strategic decisions\nHas the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. \nCan exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. \nActs as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\nQualifications:\n5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Technologies delivery with a proven track record of operational process change and improvement\nAbility to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience\nAbility to work with virtual and in-person teams, and work under pressure or to a deadline\nExperience in a Financial Services or large complex and/or global environment preferred\nEffective written and verbal communication skills\nEffective analytic/diagnostic skills\n Education:\nBachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.\nThe DCSD Infrastructure Technical Analyst roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nInstalling/de-installing/relocating all distributed systems and network hardware (CSUs, DSUs, routers, switches, encryptors, firewalls, etc.) in the Americas Data Centers within the internal service level mandates\nInstalling/de-installing /extending/relocating/testing all carrier circuits to the network hardware\nInstalling/de-installing/relocating all patch cabling for systems and network hardware\nInstalling/de-installing/relocating all Data Center hardware\nAssist with the coordination of cabinet power, circuit, and patch infrastructure installations w/various facilities, electrical and communications vendors\nAssist with the coordination of network component configurations\nCoordinate and Install SAN cabling infrastructure\nManaging network ports and assist with the management of all consumable items (cables, labels, tie wraps, rail kits, etc.)\nMaintaining the integrity of the data center facilities, systems and communications environments through general housekeeping and best operations practices\nProvide hands-on, break/fix level 2 support for the data center systems and communications environments\nCoordinating and approving data center infrastructure change controls\nEnsuring compliance with data center standards, policies and processes for all non-DCSD sponsored changes\nPerforming required compliance activities\nProducing network consumables updates and contributing to weekly management reports\nCoordinate activities in support of all projects and technical requests within the Americas Data Centers\nManage CTI-approved third party vendors in support of local/regional business service commitments and to assure adherence to Corporate and CTI standards\nProvide clear and detailed turnover to next shift workers for continuity\nMedia Management duties including the following: \nPerforming daily tape ejects to increase current day processing capacity.\nMonitoring of tape related console messages.\nManaging all daily ad-hoc tape/job requests and scratch activity.\nManaging all physical and electronic vaulting activity.\nManage tape destruction process, insuring all proper documentation has been recorded and approved.Monitoring scratch levels on display screens, on-line library web specialist or visually monitoring panel on libraries.\nReplacing any/all damaged media.\nMinor to moderate problem determination\nMonitoring of tape related console messages, working with the global command center and the on-site hardware teams.\nPerforming daily health checks on all libraries including virtual subsystems, grid clusters, and error/exception system logs.\nProvide assistance when required to ensure that the highest level of customer satisfaction is maintained.\nResponding to automated trouble tickets and facilitating the necessary actions under the direction of the Global Command centers.\nMedia liaison between the on-site hardware teams and the on-site CE’s.\nInitiating, scheduling, coordinating, and approving media management sponsored change controls.\nSupporting all physical off-site vaulting activities.\nManaging all physical media movement and ensuring all movement is recorded and tracked accordingly.\nManage tape destruction process, insuring all proper documentation has been recorded and approved.\nEnsure destruction procedures are followed.\nSupporting all site and application specific disaster recovery/COB tests/exercises.\nResponsible in following best practices and processes in degaussing and wiping of all hard-drives.\nPerforms random audit checks and sampling.\nRemain current with all global procedures and provide input when appropriate\nParticipates in projects relating to tape/media\nAssisting in supporting all reconciliation and QA efforts including;Year End Physical Inventory\nVertices\nHard-drive inventory levels\n\nOther duties as assigned by management\n------------------------------------------------------\nJob Family Group:\nTechnology------------------------------------------------------\nJob Family:\nInfrastructure------------------------------------------------------\nTime Type:\nFull time------------------------------------------------------\nPrimary Location:\nGeorgetown Texas United States------------------------------------------------------\nPrimary Location Full Time Salary Range:\n$90,080.00 - $135,120.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
