modernisation, cloud-enablement, and working with SMEs in FX Technology to create practical standards of best practice.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain database solutions using Oracle and Sybase.\nDevelop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, PL/SQL packages, functions, and triggers.\nWrite performance-optimized PL/SQL code using Collections, Pipelined Functions, GTTs, and other advanced features.\nMonitor, analyze, and improve database performance through query tuning and optimization.\nReview and analyze Explain Plans and other performance diagnostic tools.\nDesign and maintain logical and physical data models.\nEnsure data integrity, consistency, and security across databases.\nDevelop and support ETL processes and data integration solutions.\nCollaborate with application developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.\nParticipate in code reviews and promote database development best practices.\nSupport production deployments and troubleshoot database-related issues.\nQualifications / Experience\n4+ years of experience in database development.\nStrong hands-on experience with Oracle and Sybase databases.\nExperience supporting enterprise-scale applications and databases.\nTechnical SkillsStrong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL development.\nStrong experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries in Oracle.\nHands-on experience with Oracle SQL Developer and other database development tools.\nStrong knowledge of:Query Performance Tuning\nExplain Plan and performance analysis tools\nIndexes and Index Access Methods\nIndex Organized Tables (IOT)\nPartitioning\nJoins and Query Optimization\nStored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and Triggers\n\n Basic understanding of Data Modeling concepts.\n Experience with ETL processes and data integration tools is preferred.\n Exposure to MongoDB or other NoSQL databases is an advantage.\n Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, UDeploy, and SonarQube.\n Familiarity with Design Patterns, Code Reviews, Coding Standards, and Unit Testing.\nSoft Skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.\nAbility to work under pressure and manage changing
