About This Role
The AIM USCC AI Innovation Head will accelerate the adoption of AI within the USCC Analytics & Pricing teams. The primary objective of this role is to lead efforts to conceptualize, prototype, and full-scale production of AI-led analytics solutions for key USCC business problems. This role is accountable for driving innovation and productivity gains, and for delivering measurable business value by embedding AI into the analytics process.
What Would You Deliver
1. Lead AI-led Analytical Solution Development for USCC Business Problems
Drive AI-led analytics solutions development for key business problems, such as - but not limited to - Personalized Next Best Action decisioning engine, Campaign Analytics Platform, Conversational & Contextual Business Insights, etc. Own the full AI solution lifecycle-from concept to production-for critical USCC Analytics & Pricing business problems. Partner with stakeholders across USCC and Citi to architect, prototype, and deploy scalable AI solutions that drive measurable business impact.
2. Support Development of Other AI solutions for USCC
Collaborate directly with other USCC teams and Technology to jointly develop high-impact AI solutions. Combine technical expertise with business acumen to deliver AI capabilities that solve complex cross-functional challenges.
3. Conceptualize & Build AI Tools and Procedures for Analytics Workflow Transformation
Conceptualize AI-powered automation and tools that accelerate internal analytics workflows and create productivity. Create innovative solutions that streamline processes and enhance analytical capabilities across the organization. Lead the evolution of AI-enhanced modeling techniques to accelerate development cycles and improve analytical precision.
4. Operationalize Model governance for USCC Analytics & Pricing
Operationalize Citi model governance standards aimed at ensuring model explainability, enabling responsible deployment, compliance with legal & regulatory norms, and adherence to Model Risk Management guidelines.
5. Establish Productivity and Innovation Measurement Frameworks
Establish frameworks for measuring productivity, innovation, and delivery that track outcomes across business deliverables and team productivity, ensuring alignment with senior USCC leaders.
How Would You Deliver
1. Build a High-Performing AI Solutions Team
Establish and lead a specialized team equipped to deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions. Recruit top talent, foster a culture of innovation and experimentation, and create an environment where focus is on non-linear outcomes over volume-driven metrics
2. Partner with Central AI, Technology, AIM and different USCC teams on Innovation
Collaborate with Citi's Central AI organization, Technology, AIM and different units within USCC to secure early access to emerging tools, experimental platforms, and sandbox environments to pilot innovations and accelerate time-to-value.
3. Integrate Seamlessly with Business and USCC Analytics & Pricing to Align Priorities
Work in partnership with USCC business stakeholders and USCC Analytics & Pricing to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact AI solutions. Build trusted partnerships that enable rapid alignment on strategic initiatives, efficient resource deployment, and solutions that directly address critical business needs.
About You
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive experience in analytics, AI/ML, and enterprise transformation.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI & allied competencies, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline from a premier institution.
- Experience across technical engineering and analytics/data science, with hands-on experience in advanced analytics.
- AI consulting or advisory experience, demonstrating ability to drive AI adoption and transformation
- Deep working knowledge of Generative AI architectures, Agentic AI frameworks, and demonstrated expertise in building and deploying AI solutions in production.
- Working knowledge of regulatory principles & guidance related to AI/ML model development & deployment such as those related to Model Risk Management, Fair Lending and Compliance in a regulated financial institution
- Proven experience in a senior-people leadership role, with a track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams. Ability to lead and deliver in a global, matrixed organization, managing senior stakeholder relationships across time zones.
- Strong executive communication and influencing skills with a verifiable track record of engaging and advising Managing Director / C-suite level stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly across US businesses, Cards, and/or Operations domains
- Strong understanding of credit card economics and core banking data domains including marketing, call center operations, complaints, and collections
- AI-related publications and demonstrated thought leadership in the industry
