The successful individual will ideally have a strong knowledge of Fixed Income especially SFT products and experience in building software systems to handle the capture and processing of high volume of such trades.\nIn this fast paced environment you must be able to prioritize tasks, work within deadlines, taking a pragmatic and thoughtful approach, paying close attention to details. You will need to employ strong communication skills, necessary to effectively produce client solutions.\nKey Responsibilities:\nConduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas\nMonitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users\nUtilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement\nRecommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality\nConsult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems\nEnsure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes\nServe as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts\nHas the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.\nCan exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.\nActs as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\nRequired Qualifications:\nThe senior developer will have the following characteristics:\nSolid understanding and experience on OOP programming skills\nGood experience on Java programming and frameworks like Spring Boot, etc.\nSolid domian knowledge on financial industry especially on SFT\nProven background in developing large distributed systems to address complex business problems.\nAbility to perform thorough requirement analysis and create comprehensive design for business features.\nKeen to produce well-crafted software living up to highest quality standards.\nEnthusiastic in learning and adopting industry-leading technologies into work.\nAbility to work independently with ownership to estimation and timeline\nSelf-motivated and with determination to achieve goals\nGood team working skills and ability to work in a virtual team environment.\nAbility to think critically, identify improvement opportunities within application and team, come up with solutions and drive the execution.\nWell-organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks to achieve maximum output. \n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExposure to the Finance industry or a background in financial applications is a significant advantage.\nEducational Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
