Help solve real-world challenges that touch millions and get the opportunity to build the future of finance with Citi Tech.\nIn this role, you will help to build the new Securities Settlements Stock Record platform, which will scale for high trade volumes, improve real time and batch reporting timelines and reduce risk by enhancing data quality controls to avoid any reputational and financial impact to firm.\nThis role will work closely with technology and business leadership in NAM and EMEA region.\nKey Responsibilities\nFull-Stack Architecture & Development\nBackend & Microservices: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, resilient microservices and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and modern enterprise integration patterns.\nFrontend Engineering: Build responsive, accessible, and intuitive single-page applications (SPAs) and user interfaces using Angular / React.\nDatabase Design & Management: Model, optimize, and manage relational databases (Oracle), ensuring optimal query performance, indexing strategies, and data consistency.\nAI Assisted Development: Appropriately leverage available AI tools to accelerate all development activities.\nEngineering Standards: Ensure all software developed complies with Citi’s standards around code quality and test coverage.\nCloud & Containerized DevOps\nContainerization & Orchestration: Package, deploy, and manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and container platforms such as OpenShift.\nCI/CD & Automation: Integrate code into automated CI/CD build and release pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Tekton, Harness), enforcing code quality, automated testing, and security scanning.\nSystems Analysis, Design & Leadership\nConduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, time/cost estimates, and IT planning to deliver technology solutions aligned with business strategy.\nMonitor and govern all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, system architecture, coding, unit/integration testing, and production rollout.\nRecommend and implement robust application security standards, role-based access controls (RBAC), and vulnerability remediations throughout the application lifecycle.\nAct as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and mentor junior engineers, fostering engineering best practices, code reviews, and technical documentation.\nOperate with high independence of judgment, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, product managers, and enterprise architecture teams.\nProactively manage and assess risk, adhering strictly to firm policies, regulatory compliance, and governance frameworks.\nQualifications and Skills:\nProven relevant experience in a full-stack development role.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nAbility to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements\nExperience with software development using agentic AI driven workflows\nStrong hands-on experience with Java J2EE and Spring based technology stack.\nMust have Hands-on SQL, Oracle database\nExpertise in system design and microservices architecture.\nExperience with event-driven architecture and distributed systems.\nExperience with trunk-based development, feature flags, and progressive delivery strategies.\nStrong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.\nExperience conducting code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and secure coding.\nFamiliarity with modern cloud-native technologies (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker).\nGood to have hands-on experience on Kafka\nGood to have Apache Camel expertise\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
