The overall objective is to spearhead engineering activities, ensuring that our solutions meet the highest quality standards and align with our strategic framework, with a strong emphasis on leveraging AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity and innovation.\nResponsibilities:\nServe as a technology subject matter expert for full-stack microservice architecture, providing technical leadership and direction for internal and external stakeholders.\nLead the design and solutioning of robust, scalable, and resilient microservices for the Inventory Orchestration domain.\nCollaborate with multiple development teams to ensure cohesive integration of services, alignment with business goals, and adherence to architectural blueprints.\nDrive the adoption and effective use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Devin, Anthropic Claude, GitHub Copilot) to enhance developer productivity and code quality.\nDefine and govern system enhancements required to deploy new products and process improvements.\nMentor and guide junior and senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.\nIdentify problem causality, business impact, and root causes, leading efforts to resolve complex technical challenges.\nInfluence engineering decisions through expert advice, counsel, and the facilitation of technical discussions and design reviews.\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\nQualifications:\nFull Stack Development Experience: At least 6+ years of professional experience in software development, with significant hands-on experience in both backend and frontend technologies.\nAI-Assisted Development: Demonstrable, deep knowledge and practical experience using AI tools like Devin, Anthropic Claude, and others for code generation, debugging, and as a core part of the development lifecycle.\nBackend Expertise: Proven expertise in developing enterprise-level applications using the Java and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).\nFrontend Expertise: Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks such as React and Angular, with experience building complex, responsive user interfaces.\nMicroservices & API Design: Deep competency in designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs and event-driven microservice architectures.\nContainerization & Orchestration: Solid understanding and practical experience with container technologies (Docker) and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift).\nEvent-Driven Messaging: Hands-on experience with event-driven messaging platforms, particularly Apache Kafka (including Kafka Streams, Schema Registry, and topic design), for building reliable, high-throughput asynchronous communication between distributed services.\nAutomation & IaC: Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, particularly Ansible.\nCI/CD & DevOps: In-depth experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools like Git and Jenkins.\nLeadership & Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, articulate complex architectural concepts, and present solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience\nMaster’s degree preferred\n------------------------------------------------------\nJob Family Group:\nTechnology------------------------------------------------------\nJob Family:\nApplications Development------------------------------------------------------\nTime Type:\nFull time------------------------------------------------------\nPrimary Location Full Time Salary Range:\n$111,600.00 - $161,600.00------------------------------------------------------\nMost Relevant Skills\nPlease see the requirements listed above.------------------------------------------------------\nOther Relevant Skills\nFor complementary skills, please see above and/or contact the recruiter.------------------------------------------------------\nAutomated Processing and AI\nWe use automated processing, including artificial intelligence, for our legitimate business interests (or our reasonable and appropriate business purposes) to identify and align the candidate's skills and abilities with a specific job opening.
