You will drive \"Automation First\" strategies, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional global teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that align with Citi's strict architectural, security, and regulatory standards.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Automation & CI/CD Engineering\n Pipeline Design & Optimization: Design, build, and maintain end-to-end automated CI/CD pipelines using enterprise-grade tools (e.g., Jenkins, Tekton, Harness, GitLab CI).\n Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Author and manage reusable, modular IaC configurations using Terraform and Ansible to provision and manage hybrid cloud environments.\n Toil Reduction: Proactively identify manual bottlenecks in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and implement automated solutions to eliminate them.\nConfiguration Management: Manage environment configurations dynamically, ensuring consistency across Development, UAT, and Production environments.\n2. Technical Leadership & Mentorship\nWorkstream Leadership: Act as a technical lead for DevOps initiatives, guiding engineering teams on modern branching strategies, deployment patterns, and release management.\nMentorship & Talent Development: Coach and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, high engineering standards, and innovation.\nCross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Developers, QA, Security, and Operations teams across global regions to align DevOps strategies with business goals.\nBest Practices Champion: Establish and advocate for DevOps best practices, ensuring teams adopt standardized tools and methodologies.\n3. Cloud & Containerization\nContainer Orchestration: Manage, scale, and secure containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift.\n Cloud Infrastructure: Support cloud migration initiatives (primarily AWS) and manage cloud-native infrastructure with a focus on high availability, scalability, and cost optimization.\nHybrid Environments: Maintain and bridge legacy on-premises infrastructure with modern cloud environments.\n4. DevSecOps, Compliance & Risk Management\n Security Integration: Integrate security scanning tools (e.g., Snyk, SonarQube, Checkmarx, BlackDuck) directly into CI/CD pipelines to enforce \"Shift Left\" security.\nVulnerability Remediation: Proactively identify, track, and remediate infrastructure and pipeline vulnerabilities.\n Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all deployment processes and infrastructure comply with Citi's strict risk, control, and regulatory frameworks (including change management and audit requirements).\n5. Observability & Reliability\n Monitoring & Alerting: Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, AppDynamics) to ensure system reliability.\n Resilience Engineering: Participate in incident resolution, root-cause analysis (RCA), and post-mortem reviews to drive continuous improvement in system resilience.\nQualifications & Skills\nExperience & Education\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nExperience: 3-5+ years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or Software Development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership, workstream lead, or mentoring capacity.\nTechnical Skills\nCI/CD Tools: Proficient with Jenkins, Harness, Tekton, or similar enterprise pipeline tools.\nInfrastructure as Code: Strong, hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible.\nContainers & Orchestration: Deep understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift.\n Cloud Platforms: Solid experience with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS (AWS certifications are a plus).\nScripting/Programming: Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, Go, or Java.\nDevSecOps & Secrets Management: Experience with SonarQube, Snyk, and HashiCorp Vault.\nLeadership & Soft Skills\nInfluence & Collaboration: Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.\nCommunication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nProblem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive, collaborative mindset.\n Regulated Industry Experience: Experience working in a highly regulated environment (e.g., Financial Services) is highly desirable.\nNice to Have:\nAutomation and Innovation:\nLeverage GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Devin.AI, internal AI assistants) to accelerate the creation of automation scripts (Bash, Python), generate Infrastructure as Code (Ansible), and automate the analysis of system logs for proactive issue detection.\n------------------------------------------------------\nJob Family Group:\nTechnology------------------------------------------------------\nJob Family:\nApplications Development------------------------------------------------------\nTime Type:\nFull time------------------------------------------------------\nPrimary Location:\nTampa Florida United States------------------------------------------------------\nPrimary Location Full Time Salary Range:\n$96,960.00 - $145,440.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
