Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks an Investment Banking Senior Associate for its New York, NY location.
DUTIES: Provides strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions, and supports clients in raising capital within the capital markets and in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. Acts as a strategic advisor to clients by formulating investment strategies, supporting transaction execution, and contributing to business development initiatives. Supports the execution of various phases of M&A transactions, including transaction analysis, due diligence coordination, and preparation of client deliverables. Advises clients, senior-level team members, and external professional advisors on M&A transactions and related financial matters. Prepares and drafts situation analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, and investor and management presentations. Supports the evaluation of corporate transactions and structures, performs financial analyses, and contributes to the development of investment strategies and capital-raising solutions. Supports client development efforts with existing and prospective clients by conducting research, analyzing industry trends, and assisting with transaction-related presentations and materials. Provides technical support to analysts, assists with information flow coordination, and contributes to maintaining high-quality analytical and presentation standards throughout transaction execution. May also serve as an intermediary in trading activities for clients, as applicable. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Business Engineering, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related finance occupation providing advisory services to large-capitalization corporate and private equity clients within the financial services industry. Five (5) years of experience must include: Executing transactions for public and private companies, including divestitures, financial restructurings, and cross-border transactions across multiple industries; Analyzing transactions involving public markets and publicly listed companies using financial and valuation data; Developing financial models to perform valuation analysis, merger consequence analysis, and financial trend analysis; Preparing written financial analyses and presenting valuation conclusions to internal stakeholders and clients to support transaction decision-making; Using Microsoft Excel to build financial models and using Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare transaction presentations, including confidential information memoranda, teasers, and investor relations materials; and Reviewing deal-related legal documentation, including purchase agreements, term sheets, and transition services agreements. 40 hrs./wk. 10% travel required, domestic and international.
