Investment Banking Senior Associate - Power
Citi is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Investment Banking team, where you will serve as a strategic advisor to clients across capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and other complex financial mandates. In this role, you will play a central part in driving deal execution, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to the continued growth of Citi's Investment Banking franchise. Responsibilities
- Advise clients on capital markets transactions, M&A mandates, and other strategic financial transactions, acting as a trusted counterpart throughout the execution process.
- Lead and coordinate the execution of investment banking transactions, ensuring rigorous analysis, accurate documentation, and timely delivery at every stage.
- Develop and present financial analyses, including valuation models, transaction structures, and comparative market assessments, to support client decision-making.
- Evaluate corporate transaction structures and recommend approaches that align with client objectives and prevailing market conditions.
- Support business development activities by conducting industry research, tracking market trends, and contributing to the preparation of client materials and pitches.
- Mentor and guide analysts by providing clear feedback, managing information flow across the team, and sharing relevant credit and market exposure context.
- Contribute to strengthening Citi's Investment Banking client relationships and market presence through consistent, high-quality advisory work.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5 to 8 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a closely related financial advisory field.
- Demonstrated ability to build and interpret financial models, valuations, and transaction analyses within an M&A or capital markets context.
- Experience evaluating and executing corporate transactions across a range of deal structures and sectors.
- Effective communicator with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats.
- Series 79 and Series 63 licenses, or the ability to obtain them promptly upon joining.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or an equivalent postgraduate qualification in a finance-related field.
- Experience contributing to client development efforts, including the preparation of presentations and participation in client-facing interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, balancing analytical rigor with team coordination in a fast-paced transaction environment.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
