This is an area of great opportunity and has been identified as a major growth target for Citi - with technology providing the key to unlock this potential.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDelivery of Swap Processing components (Java/Kotlin) within the Strategic Swaps Platform\nDeveloper-led automated testing with a focus on Test Driven Development\nWorking within an Agile team focussed on Continuous Integration(CI) and Continuous Deployment(CD)\nParticipation in design, planning and estimation discussions within the team\nPerform detailed analysis of assigned work, breaking work into individual technical tasks.\nCreate and maintain project and technical documentation\nPartner with management team to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements\nIdentify opportunities for continuous quality improvement of technical standards and methodologies\nPartner with technical leadership to resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards\nApply fundamental knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint\nUtilize knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation\nDevelop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals\nAssist in production support by working closely with operations and business teams. Participate in support rotations to diagnose and resolve escalated issues. Contribute to documentation and post-mortem reviews. Implement software enhancements to resolve root-causes and improve reliability, performance and scalability.\nPartner with technical leadership and serve as advisor or coach to junior-level developers, analysts and grads.\nKnowledge/Experience:\nExperience in systems analysis and programming of software applications\nExperience in implementing successful projects\nWorking knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods\nAbility to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements\nTechnical Experience:\nJava & Test-Driven Development are essential.\nExperience in any number of additional technologies (listed below) is advantageous:\nKotlin\nCloud Technologies (Kubernetes, Open Shift)\nMessaging Technologies (Kafka, Solace, TIBCO)\nDatabase / Data Store / Data Query Technologies (SQL Server, Trino, Mongo, S3)\nObservability Technologies (OpenTelemetry, Elastic Stack / ELK, Grafana)\nDesirable Criteria:\nBackground of delivering software using an iterative Agile approach.\nPrevious experience and knowledge of Swaps or Prime Brokerage offerings\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
