The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.\nResponsibilities:\nManage an Applications Development team of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, training and development, hiring and disciplinary actions)\nRecommend new work procedures to increase process efficiencies\nResolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents\nDevelop and apply comprehensive knowledge of how own area integrates within apps development and other technical areas\nEnsure the quality of tasks provided by self and others on team as well as influence decisions through advice or facilitating services that impact the team and closely related work teams\nAct as backup to Applications Development Manager and serve as an advisor and coach to junior developers and analysts\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.\nQualifications:\n3-5 years of relevant experience\nStrong experience in Java, microservices and springboot\nExperience using database and knowledge of AI tools is a plus\nExperience in managing and implementing successful projects\nAbility to take ownership and make technical decisions on software development projects\nExperience with dependency management, change management, continuous integration testing tools, and audit/compliance requirements\nExtensive knowledge of software engineering and object-oriented design\nDemonstrated leadership and management skills\nConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
