The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.\nResponsibilities:\nConduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas\nMonitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users\nUtilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement\nRecommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality\nConsult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems\nEnsure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes\nServe as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts\nHas the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.\nCan exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.\nActs as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\nRecommended Qualifications:\n6-10 years of proven experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).\nDemonstrated solid experience in application development, with a proven history of delivering robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions.\nExpert-level proficiency in modern Java technologies, including Core Java, Java EE, Spring Boot, Spring Microservices, and RESTful API design.\nProven expertise in designing and developing secure and efficient APIs and Web Services utilizing REST protocols.\nExtensive experience in architectural design and development of integrated enterprise-grade solutions, with a strong emphasis on non-functional requirements such as scalability, availability, resilience, and data consistency.\nExceptional ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code (Core Java, J2EE, Collections, Multithreading), coupled with advanced debugging and performance optimization skills.\nStrong experience in defining and implementing comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, ensuring high test coverage and software quality.\nHands-on experience with high-throughput messaging platforms, such as Solace, Kafka, or other industry-standard message brokers.\nIn-depth understanding and practical application of security principles, including Authentication, Authorization, encryption, and various security protocols.\nSolid practical experience with modern code versioning systems, specifically GitHub Enterprise.\nExtensive experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and automation tools, including hands-on experience in deploying and managing applications within these frameworks.\nFamiliarity with leading cloud platforms and proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker, along with orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
