In this role, you will deal with delivering solutions independently and have latitude to solve complex problems. You will have opportunity to integrate in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. \nResponsibilities:\nUtilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code\nConsult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems\nApply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.\nAnalyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging\nServe as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts\nIdentify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions\nResolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents\nHas the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.\nCan exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.\nActs as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\nQualifications:\n2+ years in an Apps Development role with microservices expertise using Java. Demonstrated execution capabilities.\nExperience with containerization and orchestration tools: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.\nWorking experience is UI/Angular is a plus\nSolid understanding of RESTful API design, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and event-driven architecture.\nExperience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.).\nFamiliarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Tekton, GitLab CI, or similar) and Git-based version control.\nStrong analytical and quantitative skills; Data driven and results-oriented\nExperience in running high traffic, distributed, cloud based services\nSkilled at leading infrastructure programs\nExperience in working with third party service providers\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\nEducation:\nBachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
