The role requires working with technologists across geographical locations and executing on the technical delivery. This role requires strong expertise in Java and the ability to work with users in building business solutions through agile delivery.\nResponsibilities:\nEngineer the capabilities for the Trading platform as per the book of work\nCode review of development conducted by others\nResolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards\nProvide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint\nUtilise advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\nKey Skills and Experience:\n5+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role\nExperience in system analysis and in programming of software applications\nExperience in managing and implementing successful projects\nExposure to AI solutions to accelerate development\nSubject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development\nAbility to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate\nFlexibility to work with a global team, across geographies and time zones\nTechnical Skills:\nExtensive development experience\nTechnical expertise in Java, Kafka, SQL, Git and JMS is a must have.\nFluency in modern CI/CD pipeline and cloud environment\nExperience in performing QA, TDD and BDD practices\nProven ability to work in high pressure environment\nFlexibility to work with a global team, across geographies and time zones\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically\nFamiliarity with agile methodologies\nAny Beneficial / Nice to Have Skills and Experiences:\nKnowledge of Equity Finance / Securities Lending is a plus\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
