The role requires working with technologists across geographical locations and executing on the technical delivery. This role requires strong expertise in Java and the ability to work with traders in building business solutions through agile delivery.\nResponsibilities:\nResolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards\nUtilise advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation\nProvide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint\nDevelop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals\nProvide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\nKey Skills and Experience required\n6+ years of relevant experience in Applications Development\nAwareness of building event based systems with real time trading requirements\nExperience in Equity Finance / Securities Lending\nComprehensive experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle, including Agile delivery\nDemonstrated ability to work under pressure managing multiple activities and changing priorities\nProven interpersonal, management and prioritization skills\nAbility to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate\nFlexibility to work with a global team, across geographies and time zones\nTechnical Skills\nTechnical skills in Java, Kafka, Distributed Caching, SQL, Git\nExperience in performing QA, TDD and BDD practices\nExperience with building containerised solutions that horizontally scale\nExposure to AI solutions to accelerate development\nProven ability to work in high pressure environment\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically\nAny Beneficial / Nice to have skills and experience:\nReact and full stack development\nKnowledge of Prime Services is a plus\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
