The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.\nFinance Desk Technology is part Citi’s Markets Technology. The Team works closely with the Citi Global Finance Desk and Markets Treasury. The suite of Finance Desk applications provides position management, trade capture, electronic trading, market risk processing and reporting. This is supported by a mixed technology environment consisting of client-server applications, developed in Java, Angular and C#, with services running on Linux servers and Cloud Containers. This provides unique opportunity to work closely with the business stakeholders while building towards the strategic technology roadmap. We are looking for technically strong candidates who can work as team players and capable of taking ownership and leading the initiatives when needed.\nResponsibilities:\nResponsible for developing and maintaining suite of applications as a part of global development team.\nProduction of high-quality software, emphasizing simplicity, maintainability and reuse, using standard development process.\nUnderstands business priorities, documents requirements and determines solutions in partnership with other internal teams.\nAccountable for all phases of development process-analysis, design, construction, testing and implementation; provides user and operational support on applications to business users.\nEnsures essential procedures are followed and helps to define operating standards and processes.\nParticipating in key business initiatives involving multiple workstreams.\nCoordinate global testing and schedule application rollouts.\nContribute towards improving the Dev Ops CI/CD Pipelines and Strategic Architecture.\nWork closely with partner technology teams and to collaborate effectively.\nMonitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users.\nProvide L3 support for production flows.\nUtilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement\nRecommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality\nEnsure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes\nHas the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.\nBuild highly scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise applications using modern architectural patterns (microservices, event-driven, cloud-native)\nTranslate complex business needs into robust technical designs that deliver measurable business outcomes.\nOwn architectural standards, conduct deep design and code reviews, enforce engineering best practices, and raise overall code quality across markets technology teams.\nQualifications:\nBachelor degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or a related field, or substantial practical experience of software delivery.\n3 to 6 years of relevant experience in Application Development, DevOps and Automation roles.\nTechnical Skills Required:\nExperience with Unix or Linux.\nExperience with frameworks like Hibernate, Junit, Spring Boot/Microservice-style application development.\nStrong experience in automation scripting (Python/Java/TypeScript/PowerShell/Bash).\nStrong experience with Relational Databases like Oracle, MSSQL.\nExperience with build tools like Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, UDeploy\nExperience with cloud based architectures on OpenShift Kubernetes.\nTesting and automation experience with distributed software applications.\nNon-Technical Skills Required:\nExperience in working with distributed teams situated globally in different time-zones is a plus.\nFlexible and adaptive, team player.\nExcellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently.\nAbility to take ownership, drive strategy and well organized.\n------------------------------------------------------\nJob Family Group:\nTechnology------------------------------------------------------\nJob Family:\nApplications Development------------------------------------------------------\nTime Type:\nFull time------------------------------------------------------\nPrimary Location Full Time Salary Range:\n$79,320.00 - $110,680.00------------------------------------------------------\nMost Relevant Skills\nPlease see the requirements listed above.------------------------------------------------------\nOther Relevant Skills\nFor complementary skills, please see above and/or contact the recruiter.------------------------------------------------------\nAutomated Processing and AI\nWe use automated processing, including artificial intelligence, for our legitimate business interests (or our reasonable and appropriate business purposes) to identify and align the candidate's skills and abilities with a specific job opening.
