This is an area of great opportunity and is a major growth target for Citi - with technology providing the key to unlock this potential.\nResponsibilities:\nOwn and develop core components for the Prime Brokerage platform using Java/Kotlin.\nProvide technical leadership to an agile team, mentoring developers and establishing best practices for coding, testing, and CI/CD.\nDrive a culture of quality and continuous improvement in SDLC and DevOps, using metrics like DORA to boost efficiency.\nLead system architecture, design, planning, and estimation discussions with technical teams and business stakeholders.\nTranslate complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications.\nOversee the creation and maintenance of all project and technical documentation.\nProactively identify, mitigate, and solve complex risks throughout the software development lifecycle.\nManage production support, analyze issue patterns, and lead efforts to improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.\nTechnical Experience\nJava & Test-Driven Development are essential.\nExperience in any number of additional technologies (listed below) is advantageous:\nKotlin\nCloud Technologies (Kubernetes, Open Shift)\nMessaging Technologies (Kafka, Solace, TIBCO)\nDatabase / Data Store / Data Query Technologies (SQL Server, Trino, Mongo, S3)\nObservability Technologies (OpenTelemetry, Elastic Stack / ELK, Grafana)\n Recommended Qualifications:\nProven relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role\nExtensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications\nExperience in managing and implementing successful projects\nSubject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development\nAbility to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate\nDemonstrated leadership and project management skills\nConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication\nBachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
