The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and design, database engineering and full stack development experience using Microservices, Angular, React, Java, MongoDB, Kafka, Oracle, SQL, REST, Spring Boot, Elastic Search\nResponsibilities:\nPartner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements\nDesign, develop, maintain, and optimize relational and non-relational database architectures (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), including schema design, performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.\nManage database administration activities, data modeling, high availability/disaster recovery setups, backup and recovery strategies, and data migration pipelines.\nSolid knowledge and understanding of how AI integration works, particularly with LLMs for document processing and data extraction.\nResolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards\nProvide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint\nUtilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation\nDevelop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals\nProvide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions\nServe as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\nProvide technical leadership for an agile development team, championing best practices in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD). Foster a culture of quality through developer-led automated testing initiatives. Drive continuous improvement in SDLC, agile and DevOps processes using key performance indicators, including DORA metrics, to enhance team efficiency and software delivery.\nQualifications:\n15 + years of relevant experience in Apps Development and systems analysis role\nStrong, hands-on experience in Database Administration (DBA) and Database Engineering across relational (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) platforms.\nIn-depth expertise in SQL/PL-SQL, database schema design, indexing, partitioning, query optimization, and performance tuning.\nProven experience in database backup & recovery, high availability (HA), replication, data security, and capacity planning.\nExtensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications\nExperience in managing and implementing successful projects\nProven implementation of design pattern and enterprise level architecture.\nSubject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development.\nJava & Test-Driven Development are essential.\nGreat exposure to microservices architecture, API gateway.\nAbility to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate\nDemonstrated leadership and project management skills\nConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication\nAble to work independently and as part of a team\nAble to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.\nUI tech stack knowledge will be advantage.\nSkills Required\nMust have expert level (hands-on) knowledge and understanding in Angular, React, JAVA/J2EE spring boot, spring framework stack\nMust have Deep understanding of Microservice and Microservices best practices, patterns- Spring boot microservices is highly preferred\nMust have Hands-on Oracle / NoSQL (MongoDB) knowledge / experience \nMust have experience in SCMs like GIT; and tools like JIRA\nGood understanding of Kafka is highly desirable\nAgile/Scrum methodology experience is required.\nStrong systems analysis, design and architecture fundamentals, Unit Testing and other SDLC activities\nAbility to contribute in high- and low-level system design (Sequence diagram, class diagrams)\nStrong communication skills, should be able to communicate effectively with business and other stakeholders\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience\nMaster’s degree preferred\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
