This role combines deep expertise in Java, microservices architecture, database optimization, and emerging AI technologies to build scalable digital and AI-enabled solutions. The individual will provide technical leadership, establish engineering best practices, build and mentor high-performing teams, and drive technology strategy from concept through production support.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the complete Software Development Life Cycle including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement. \nDesign and develop enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native technologies. \nDrive architecture decisions focused on scalability, reliability, security, performance, and maintainability. \nLead AI-enabled initiatives and collaborate with business and technology teams to identify opportunities for AI-assisted automation, analytics, and intelligent applications. \nEvaluate and leverage AI tools, GenAI platforms, LLM integrations, vector databases, and AI development frameworks where appropriate. \nOptimize database design, SQL performance, indexing strategies, data access patterns, and application performance. \nBuild, lead, coach, and develop engineering teams while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning. \nProvide technical guidance through architecture reviews, code reviews, design reviews, and mentoring. \nPartner with senior stakeholders to define technology roadmaps and delivery plans. \nOversee application support, incident management, root cause analysis, and platform stability. \nRequired Technical Skills\n13+ years of software engineering experience with strong Java expertise. \nStrong experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, Kafka or similar messaging platforms. \nExpertise in relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Mongo. \nProven experience in database performance, tuning, and optimization. \nExperience with Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices. \nWorking knowledge of AI technologies, Generative AI, machine learning concepts, AI agents, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI development tools. \nExperience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications. \nStrong understanding of cloud platforms and distributed systems. \nLeadership Expectations\nLead teams of developers, engineers, and technical specialists. \nEstablish engineering standards, governance, and best practices. \nProvide career coaching, performance feedback, and talent development. \nDrive delivery excellence across multiple concurrent initiatives. \nAct as a trusted advisor to business and technology leadership. \nEducation & Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
