The overall objective is to utilize in-depth AML knowledge to review, analyze and conduct effective due diligence and investigations on high risk clients that may be a potential risk to Citi such as:\nForeign Correspondent Banking (FCB) relationships\nPayment Intermediary (PI) clients such as:Money Services Businesses (“MSBs”)\nMobile Network Operators (“MNOs”), when they are involved in mobile money schemes\neMoney and eWallet providers\nPrepaid sellers and providers\nPayment Service Providers (“PSPs”)\nThird Party Payment Processors (“TPPPs”) including FX Providers/Brokers\n\nWe’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Officer, AML/KYC Due Diligence Analyst based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Coverage varies by country.\nCiti provides access to an array of learning and development resources to help broaden and deepen your skills and knowledge as your career progresses.\nWe have a variety of programs that help employees balance their work and life.\nIn this role, you’re expected to:\nConduct investigations and research on Citi's high risk FCB & PI clients using various internal and external systems and databases\nConduct Cross Sector reviews among multiple Citi business lines. Document the review/investigation findings and upload case files with the required supporting documentation to Citi's KYC platform.\nSummarize & analyze in writing, clear and concise findings of the investigation\nEscalate potential risks/red flags to senior management and provide recommendations on the next course of action (i.e. further investigation, relationship termination etc.)\nAssist various AML teams with managing risks by analyzing the root cause of issues and impact to business.\nWork closely with Citi's Risk Evaluation Management (REM), AML Program Assessment (AMLPA) & Periodic Transaction Review (PTR) teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\nAssist Citi's global AML unit with respect to internal audit & regulatory findings, including assisting on Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\nAs a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:\nKnowledge of AML regulations/ACAMS qualification preferred\nProficient in MS Office\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nStrong interpersonal skills\nDemonstrated analytical and organizational skills\nBachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience \nLanguage Expertise: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
