The primary objective is to leverage expertise in SAS and/or Python to develop and maintain Management Information Systems (MIS), create insightful visualizations, and support regulatory deliverables for our Risk or Marketing teams. This individual will be a subject matter expert in mortgage industry MIS and will be responsible for providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.\nKey Responsibilities:\nMIS Development: Design, develop, and maintain MIS reports and dashboards using SAS and/or Python to track key performance indicators and provide insights into business trends.\nData Analysis and Visualization: Perform in-depth data analysis and create compelling visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.\nMortgage Industry Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of the mortgage industry, including MIS and regulatory requirements, to ensure the accuracy and relevance of our reporting and analysis.\nRegulatory Reporting: Support the delivery of regulatory reports and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.\nData-driven Insights: Proactively identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to the Risk or Marketing teams.\nIndividual Contribution: Work as a high-performing individual contributor, taking ownership of projects and delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.\nQualifications:\nExperience: 10+ years of experience as an individual contributor in a major bank, working within Risk or Marketing teams with a focus on the mortgage and/or retail/commercial banking industry.\nTechnical Skills: Programming Languages & Frameworks: Advanced hands-on proficiency in Python, PySpark for distributed large-scale data processing, and SAS (Base SAS, Macros, PROC SQL).\n Big Data & Database Technologies: Expert-level SQL querying and performance tuning across Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop, Hive, Impala) as well as relational database systems.\n Data Visualization: Proven experience designing visual summaries and exploratory dashboards using Python libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn) or modern BI platforms.\n Automation & Engineering Best Practices: Strong command of Linux/Unix shell scripting, version control (Git), and automated workflow/batch schedulers (e.g., Autosys, Airflow).\n\nDomain Knowledge:Mortgage Industry: Deep understanding of the mortgage industry, including key metrics, MIS, and regulatory deliverables.\n\nSoft Skills:Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.\nAnalytical Mindset: A strong analytical mindset and a passion for working with data.\nCommunication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex analysis to a non-technical
