We use the latest technologies including advancing AI solutions to calculate risk for the largest profiles in Citi. We use visualizations and dashboards to communicate risk to senior stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include building analytical applications to tackle real-world challenges, paving the way for a career as a risk management expert and leader.\nThe Operational Risk Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business.\nEvaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources.\nWhat you will do\nPrepare regular and time sensitive analytics, visualizations, and reports for risk managers, regulators and senior management\nProduce and communicate risk views and metrics\nDocument BCBS 239 principles and collaborate with management to maintain a comprehensive approach to BCBS compliance in risk reporting\nAnalyse, implement, and automate underlying data, flows, and data controls including leveraging AI initiatives to enhance processes and efficiency\nWork with risk managers, businesses and technology to design and build analytical applications\nParticipates in the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks\nEvaluates the control environment by ensuring appropriate controls are in place\nEnsures project completion, special assignments, and other ad hoc activities as required\nAct as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and /or other team members\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency\nWhat we will need from you\nDemonstrable, relevant risk reporting experience\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nStrong background in data, analytics, databases and data quality\nExperience of Tableau, Power BI or equivalent preferred\nUnderstanding of BCBS 239 preferred, but not essential\nKnowledge of or interest in finance, markets or risk management\nExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment collaborating across diverse groups\nAbility to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree/University degree in a Quantitative or Financial discipline\nMaster’s degree preferred.\nWhat we can offer you\nWe work hard to have a positive financial and social impact on the communities we serve.
