At Citi, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your career, give back to your community and make a real impact.\nJob Overview\nAn Digital Assets Platform Senior Blockchain Engineer must be a highly motivated and proactive hands-on software engineer (Back End, Java Focus), have a proven ability and experience working with web applications in production. The successful candidate will be part of the core team continuing to build our Citi Integrated Digital Assets Platform (CIDAP). The ideal candidate will be a self-driven, proactive, strong enterprise developer and resourceful team player who can comfortably work with a large team of highly motivated individuals within Citi’s larger software engineering network.\nWe are looking for candidates who understand how to build the backend of enterprise-grade web applications. The successful individual should understand the basics of web3 infrastructure, blockchain technology and digital assets, and must be a strong enterprise developer of web applications. Experience and knowledge of web3 application development is a plus.\nKey Responsibilities:\nIn this role, you will be handling the following (but not limited to) responsibilities:\nTo collaborate with team members in implementation approach of web applications leveraging blockchain technology\nTo own and to delivery functional scope end-to-end of applications leveraging blockchain technology meeting our quality standards\nTo solve solution engineering challenges to meet our stakeholders’ requirements and expectations\nTo know and properly use best and common practices, and design patterns for enterprise web applications\nTo know and properly use best and common practices, and design patterns for web3 applications\nTo properly use collaborative tools to manage and deliver work in a distributed team\nTo contribute and maintain tech documents for code and applications built and maintained\nTo be a team player and properly communicate in a distributed team\nHelp resolve/escalate issues as needed to successfully deliver projects on time, on budget and with quality\nQualifications/ Experience\nBachelor’s degree in CS or Engineering; MS or PhD in computer science, or related discipline a plus\nExtensive experience in full software development and testing lifecycle. Experience from financial services industry is a plus.\nProven experience and expertise with Backend web development with Java spring\nProven experience in web3 application development is a plus\nSolid experience and expertise developing web applications using asynchronous programming and communication\nExperience and expertise developing web applications adhering to best practices and patterns for reliability, scalability, and performance\nFamiliarity with web3 libraries like Web3J and Web3JS is a plus\nFamiliarity with common and best practices for web3 applications is a plus\nFamiliarity of Solidity code and best practices is a plus\nFamiliarity of basics of DevOps and containerize applications is a plus\nFamiliarity of Agile Methodology and Scrum is a plus\nCompetencies/ Skills\nEnjoy coding :)\nStrong team player with ability to communicate to technical / non-technical stakeholders at all levels and a start-up mindset.\nProven history of delivering high-quality, increasingly complex, commercial software products.\nStrong engineering fundamentals (testing, code reviews, code structure, readable and maintainable code).\nHands-on development experience as a full stack developer building enterprise-grade web applications\nExcellent computer science fundamentals: demonstrable command of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns along with capability to translate them into working, elegant code.\nIntricate knowledge of controls for consistent deployment and management of applications using best-in-class with toolsets such as git, Jira, Jenkins, Helm Charts, etc.\nDevelopment Value:\nYou will gain significant experience of the technologies and businesses and engineering groups across Citi, giving you exposure to new and existing methodologies and systems as well as the opportunity to work with multiple teams around the globe. As a member of the Citi Integrated Digital Assets Platform engineering team, you will have to opportunity to work with a team of highly motivated, T-shaped, smart individuals who think out of the box and look for disruptive opportunities for commercial benefit.\nExposure to newly released and upcoming technologies and the ability to positively contribute to the strategies of the business.
