The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.\nResponsibilities:\n- Ready to handle Development work as an Individual contributor\n- Possesses excellent understanding of Oracle, Sybase RDBMS, and Database server components.\nTake ownership for maintaining/supporting front/back-office applications-\nRequirement Analysis, Design and Implementation\nResponsible for feasibility studies and setting up of new or revised applications component.\nUtilizes good understanding of apps development procedures and concepts from a general and database point of view, basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system upgrades.\nSolves least complex problems through evaluation of business processes, system processes and industry standards; uses evaluative judgment to make recommendations for process improvements.\nApplies good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area.\nAssesses the applicability of previous or similar experiences and evaluates options under circumstances not covered by procedures.\n\n- Communicates ideas and information in a concise and logical mannerTogether with the partner teams, user community, business analysts and eCommerce management contribute to innovative & best-in-class solutions for our business\n Qualifications:\n- 6+ years of experience in RDBMS (Oracle/Sybase)\n- Experience in supporting multi-tier applications.\n- Excellent analytic & problem solving skills\n- Experience in different Oracle-RDBMS with focus on Design, maintenance and support of medium to large enterprise/distributed databases\n- Experience in migrating enterprise/distributed databases from one platform/RDBMS to another - Sybase to Oracle to be specific\nSkills and Technical essential :\n- Strong SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL programming skills\n- Good Knowledge of RDBMS Oracle (10g and higher\n- Excellent persuasive, influencing and negotiation skills\n- Good understanding of platform support procedures and concepts\n- Experience in Design, Development and support of databases of medium to large scale enterprise/distributed applications\n- Excellent knowledge in Oracle (11g & above) and Sybase (15.x & above\n- Strong SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL programming skills\n- Sound knowledge and hands on experience of Performance tuning and troubleshooting of production database systems.\n- Experience in large/enterprise database infrastructures migrations from Sybase to Oracle within tight schedules/timelines.\n- Experience in application data migration, porting and version upgrades across different RDBMS using tools such as bcp, SQL *Loader, etc.,\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
