This role will position you as a technical and delivery lead to help to design and deliver the build out of a pre-trade request-for-quote and pricing platform used by the Equity Derivatives and Delta 1 desks globally. This is also an excellent opportunity for you to define yourself as a key contributor and technical lead within the wider Equity technology division.\nOn a daily basis you will be working with tech as well as front office sales, trading, and quants colleagues across all Derivative & Delta 1 desks.\nResponsibilities:\nDeliver consistently excellent code, adhering to our team standards and industry best practices.\n\nIdentify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements.\n\nPartner with multiple related teams to ensure business critical goals are met efficiently and within agreed timescales.\n\nResolve a variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes.\n\nAchieve and maintain a high level of understanding and current system processes and industry standards.\n\nDevelop comprehensive knowledge of relevant areas of business and understand their goals and long-term strategy.\n\nServe as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, operating within an agile / frequent / low risk delivery mindset.\n\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nDemonstrated Experience as a technical lead senior developer.\n\nExtensive experience of system analysis and development of production-quality software applications.\n\nConsistently clear and concise written and verbal communication.\n\nExperience working on microservices systems and container/cloud deployment and hosting designs.\n\nUnderstanding of financial instruments, ideally Equity, Derivatives and Delta 1 asset classes.\n\nProficient in multi-threading and parallel task programming.\n\nProven experience in ensuring robust testing quality practice and maintaining clean CI/CD pipelines.\n\nExperience working in Java/Kotlin, Kafka, ELK.\n\nExperience leveraging safely AI coding agents such as Devin, Copilot, Claude Code.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nUnderstanding of trade booking and life cycle processes\n\nKnowledge/experience of FIX in equity order management or request for quote flows.\n\nAdditional technology experience: React JS, Apache NiFi, MongoDB, Solace or similar messaging middleware\n\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required\n\nMaster’s degree preferred\n\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
