This is a global team with a client base spanning 70+ countries. This role will be within the Risk Technology team.\nRisk Technology is focused on delivering solutions to the Rates Trading desks. This team develops and maintains a complete suite of Risk technology solutions, for both the Rates and FX (including Derivatives) Businesses.\nRole Overview/What will you do:\nThis role will provide a unique opportunity to gain exposure to different asset classes in a Tier 1 investment bank.\nResponsible for ownership of set of software components\nWorking primarily as lead of a team of experienced developers\nBecome SME (Subject Matter Expert) for components and services that you own\nImproving, designing, maintaining back-end software systems\nLiaising with other team leads and functional component owners to deliver new features\nWorking with planning team to advise delivery timelines for business requests\nReduce tech debt, ensuring use of latest and most secure components and libraries\nKey Skills and Experience required -\nExtensive experience in Applications Development role within the Rates domain and/or Risk management\nProven knowledge of SDLC and Trade lifecycle\nProficiency in C# .net, with a good understanding of IT fundamentals\nDemonstrated capability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with front-office stakeholders\nProven people management experience\nDemonstrated leadership skills\nKnowledge of industry practices and standards\nConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication\nEssential\nProven experience developing .NET applications in C# (some F#) \nSeveral years’ experience working in financial IT environment\nSeveral years in leadership role with people management experience\nExperience with messaging and event streaming technologies (RabbitMQ, TIBCO EMS, Kafka)\nExperience with .NET Core and Linux environments\nDesirable\nExperience managing and planning feature deliveries in Sprints (Scrum)\nExperience with database and object storage integration (MSSQL, MongoDB, S3, KDB)\nExperience with task management and resource allocation tools (Jira)\nExperience with code management and tracking tools (Bitbucket, GitHub)\nExperience with build/deployment pipelines (TeamCity, uDeploy)\nBeneficial\nAwareness of test-driven-development and importance of test environments (QA/UAT)\nAwareness of scheduling and monitoring systems\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
