The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.\n Job Purpose:\nThe Global Spread Products Technology Team is looking for an Apps Dev Sr. Program Analyst with a proven track record of producing complex enterprise software solutions. This role will require extensive development using Java, Microservices, Cloud Computing (AWS), Containerization, OpenShift, and Kubernetes technology. Candidate will be heavily involved with implementation of strategic Risk Systems for Global Spread Products. The ideal candidate will be responsible and resourceful software professional who can comfortably work in a large development team in a globally distributed, dynamic work environment, teamwork and collaboration. The ability to work in high pressured environment is essential.\nResponsibilities:\nConduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas\n\nMonitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users\n\nUtilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement\n\nRecommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality\n\nConsult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems\n\nEnsure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes\n\nServe as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts\n\nHas the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.\n\nCan exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.\n\nActs as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.\n\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\n\n Technical skills:\nSolid 5+ years of experience with Java development\n\nHands-on experience with RESTful service implementations.\n\nExperience and familiarity building modern Spring applications with Spring Boot\n\nExperience building Distributed / Service Oriented / Microservice-style and cloud based architectures (Amazon, ECS, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes)\n\nHands on experience with Jenkins, TeamCity, Sonar Cube, BitBucket\n\nStrong understanding of different storage architectures and their appropriate application.\n\nExperience in software development SDLC (Agile)\n\nExcellent knowledge of Multithreading, Thread-Pools with strong OOP and OOAD skills\n\nExperienced in developing real time low latency applications\n\nExposure to or experience in message driven architectures\n\nDesirable:\nPrior Investment Banking Risk system experience is highly desirable\n\nExperience in message broker\n\nExposure with Clojure will be big plus\n\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience\n\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
