You will lead technical design, write clean code, tune query performance, and guide junior developers.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign & Coding: Build and enhance scalable, robust backend services using Core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices for regulatory transaction reporting.\nData Integration & Mapping: Ingest, parse, and process high-volume trade data from upstream trading systems using JSON, XML/FpML, and REST APIs.\nPerformance Tuning: Troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries, Oracle databases, and Hive/Big Data pipelines to meet strict regulatory SLAs.\nData Quality & Reconciliation: Develop automated data reconciliation, validation checks, and error-handling routines.\n AI & Modernization: Leverage AI/GenAI tools (prompt engineering, RAG, automated workflows) to streamline data mapping and analysis.\nTeam Leadership: Conduct code reviews, set coding and testing standards, mentor junior/mid-level engineers, and allocate tasks.\nStakeholder Coordination: Partner with business analysts, architecture, and compliance teams to translate regulatory rules into technical specifications.\nRequired Skills & Experience\n10-14+ years of hands-on experience in Java software development and data platforms.\nStrong Core Java & Spring Boot: Multithreading, collections, concurrency, microservices, and RESTful APIs.\nAdvanced SQL & Database Tuning: Deep experience with Oracle and Hive; strong ability to read execution plans and tune slow queries.\nData Formats: Hands-on experience parsing and transforming JSON, XML, and complex nested data structures.\nData Quality & ETL: Experience with data mapping, warehousing concepts, ETL pipelines, and reconciliation frameworks.\n Tooling: GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Tekton).\nEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.\nGood to Have / Preferred\nDirect experience with Capital Markets regulatory reporting regimes (e.g., MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR, CFTC Re-write).\nFamiliarity with messaging systems (Kafka / MQ).\nWorking knowledge or interest in AI/GenAI (LLMs, RAG, Prompt Engineering).\nExposure to Python, Snowflake, Databricks, or Cloud
