The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis. architecture and engineering activities.\nResponsibilities:\nManage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)\nProvide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results\nEnsure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards\nIntegrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals\nProvide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources\nInfluence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.\nRecommended Qualifications:\n15+ years of relevant experience\nExperience in java spring boot microservice development \nStrong architecture and coding skills\nExperience in engineering management\nExperience in AI augmented delivery\nExperience managing global technology teams\nWorking knowledge of financial services\nConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience\nMaster’s degree preferred\nAs Chief Engineer for the Market Ops Data Platform you lead the business analysis, architecture, project management and engineering functions for the platform. You will be primarily focused on\nEvolving the architecture of the platform to meet new business needs\nEvolving the developer experience for teams adopting the services offered by the platform to make it as simple as possible to adopt and enhance their usage\nSupport other MOT teams in adopting the platform as effectively and efficiently as possible.\nImplementing working practices that ensure the platform is always up to date with security patches\nEnsuring that the platform engineering applies modern engineering practices including BDD. TDD.
