Increasing investment in technology has seen us roll out award winning applications.\nThe successful candidate will be ready to dive into running projects and contribute, hands-on, to integration, modernisation, cloud-enablement, and working with SMEs in FX Technology to create practical standards of best practice.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport the modernisation of our FX trade processing platform.\nSupport the migration to our new strategic risk platform by building and integrating trade feed, reconciliation and control components.\nSupport and help to adopt internal and external cloud solutions, to:Enable improved automation testing and reduce the need for manual involvement in environment management.\nReduce the duration of the regression testing cycle and make it easier to test multiple projects in parallel.\nThe role will focus not only on new, greenfield projects, but will have a particular emphasis on established, older technology, supporting automation in order to facilitate the migration to strategic platforms.\n\nChampion best practice across our FX developer community and serve as a coach to more junior team members and analysts.\nResolve a variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards\nProvide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of Java development and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint\nUtilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation\nDevelop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals\nProvide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions\nRequired Skills:\nStrong core Java experience\nSpringboot, Spring Security, OAuth\n9+ YOE is a mandate\nThorough knowledge of clean code practices and test-driven development\nExperience working with build tools such as Gradle and Maven\nSolid Linux/Unix skills\nExperience of using one or more build platforms (Jenkins, TeamCity)\nKnowledge of Apache Kafka an advantage\nKnowledge of Openshift is an advantage\nKnowledge of Docker is an advantage\nObservability exposure (Grafana, Opentelemetry, etc.)\nModern scaling, orchestration frameworks such as Conductor, Temporal is a plus.\nExperience and handson exposure to GenAI is sought for the role.\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
