Testing specialists who work with technology project managers, UAT professionals and users to design and implement appropriate scripts/plans for an application testing strategy/approach.\nPlans, conducts and manages a broad range of systems and application testing deliverables for IT projects.\nObtains detailed specification from business users and development to ascertain specific output information requirements.\nWorks with other teams to develop integrated methodologies for testing end-to-end transactions in order to ensure that IT Testing is delivering a quality product to users in an established timeframe.\nAnalyzes and communicates test results to project teams; recommends appropriate course of action.\nProvides accurate and precise estimates for assigned task duration and work effort, along with confidence level, and foreseeable dependencies.\nMonitors projects on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managing risks / issues, and taking corrective action as necessary to meet project deadlines.\nHas impact on IT testing by influencing decisions through advice, counsel or facilitating services to others.\nActs as advisor and mentor for junior members of the team. Resolves a variety of complex issues through evaluative judgment and analytical thought.\nExhibits comprehensive knowledge of several areas within IT testing and has a good understanding of the industry.\nPerforms other duties and functions as assigned.\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\nQualifications:\n6-10 years experience in Business Analysis or Systems Analysis\nAbility to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem solving techniques\nRequires communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence and convince others.\nAbility to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment\nEducation:\nBachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred\nCore Responsibilities:\nRequirements & Quality Assurance: Meticulously review requirements, specifications, and documentation to assure product quality and performance.\nEnd-to-End Automation Testing: Lead and execute end-to-end automation testing for applications, encompassing requirements understanding, test planning, script development, execution, results analysis, and sign-off, including comprehensive test data management.\n Collaborative Test Development: Work closely with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams to develop and execute automation testing (sanity and regression).\nStakeholder Engagement & Process Optimization: Collaborate with key stakeholders and partners to understand business, functional, and non-functional requirements. Adopt a lean approach to processes and frameworks, proactively managing activities and optimizing resource allocation. Continuously adapt and learn modern testing and development practices.\nData Level Validation: Apply advanced functional testing techniques, extending validation to the data level across upstream and downstream systems, with expertise in ETL processes.\nDatabase Testing Strategy: Comprehend complex data architectures, understand diverse database tools, and define robust database testing strategies.\nKey Technical Expertise:\n Programming & Big Data: Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) foundation with expertise in PySpark, HDFS, Hive, Sqoop, and Hadoop for Big Data development.\nDatabases & Querying: Well-versed in relational and non-relational databases (SQL, Hive), and highly experienced in complex database queries involving joins, unions, analytical, and aggregate functions.\nDatabase Objects: Possesses knowledge of Stored Procedures, Triggers, and Indexes.\nTesting Tools & Methodologies: Proficient with JIRA for test and defect management (preferably
