Technology Product Owner
Role Overview
Citi is looking for a Technology Product Owner to bridge the gap between business strategy and technology delivery, playing a central role in shaping how data-driven insights translate into meaningful product outcomes. Sitting within Citi's Technology team, this role connects business stakeholders with engineering teams to define, prioritize, and deliver solutions that drive continuous improvement and smarter planning. Key Responsibilities
- Requirements & Documentation: Act as the primary liaison between business users and technology teams, translating complex business needs into clear, structured requirements, user stories, and process documentation.
- Backlog Ownership: Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring priorities reflect business value and align with the strategic roadmap.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage stakeholders across varying seniority levels to understand end-to-end business processes, secure cross-functional alignment, and drive consensus on proposed solutions.
- Agile Delivery: Define and refine epics and user stories to guide development teams, ensuring each iteration delivers measurable value.
- Problem Resolution: Analyze complex business and data challenges, breaking them down into actionable solutions in collaboration with engineering teams to remove delivery blockers.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements that simplify operations and enhance the efficiency of technology delivery.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to gather, document, and communicate business requirements as user stories, process documents, and presentations in a clear and structured way.
- Experience managing and prioritizing a product backlog in an agile delivery environment.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across different functions and levels of seniority, facilitating alignment and driving decisions.
- Competence in data analysis to support problem-solving and inform business planning decisions.
- Experience collaborating directly with engineering or technology teams to define requirements and resolve implementation challenges.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into language accessible to non-technical audiences.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$98,960.00 - $148,440.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
