The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.\nResponsibilities:\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of full-stack, frontend, and backend developers\nActively participate in coding and problem-solving, maintaining a strong hands-on presence in development\nArchitect and design scalable, robust solutions for complex technical challenges\nLead the planning and execution of major development initiatives and projects\nOversee code quality, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices and coding standards\nDrive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to improve team productivity and product quality\nCollaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define technical strategy and roadmap\nManage technical debt and guide system optimizations\nFoster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing within the team\n\n Qualifications:\n6+ years of software development experience\n5+ years hands-on coding skills in both frontend (Angular) and backend (Java) technologies\n5+ years experience with microservices architecture, Spring Framework, and RESTful API design\n3+ years in a leadership role\nProficiency in and Oracle and MongoDB databases\nExperience with messaging (e.g., Kafka) and event-driven architectures\nStrong understanding of software design patterns, architecture principles, and best practices\nUnderstanding of security best practices in software development\nProven track record of leading successful software projects and mentoring developers\nExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex technical challenges\nStrong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with cloud platforms \nKnowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines\nFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools\nExperience with performance optimization and scalability of large-scale applications\nSolid understanding of payments industry, including various payment systems and processes\nFamiliarity with ISO 20022 standards, and their application in payments messaging\nContributions to open-source projects or technical publications\n\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience\n\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
