The incumbent shall have a good understanding of local KYC regulations, have hands on experience in sourcing for due diligence documentation for timely delivering into the KYC platform. As this is a standalone role locally, the incumbent must be able to work independently.\nKey Areas of Responsibilities\nAct as SME and Due Diligence expert for the periodic review process, to guide clients through the KYC Requirements and document variations including conduct in-depth analysis on the ownership structure of the client on publicly available resources (not limited to company registries) or client documentation and assist the team to seek additional confirmation or approvals as required.\nOverseeing the KYC document collection process to ensure a balance between adhering to regulatory guidelines and ensuring that documentation collected for KYC and AML reviews performed are accurate and timely.\nPerforming verification checks with external data sources and screening tools to ensure that all documents submitted meet the defined Customer Identification Program.\nKeep informed of any changes to processes and procedures, regulatory change and ensure open dialogue with colleagues across region including updating processes when necessary.\nManaging the workflow process for periodic client reviews.\nClassifying existing clients from a risk and regulatory perspective, such as professional investor reviews.\nInteracting with existing client accounts to handle any tasks arising from periodic reviews.\nResolving any issues arising from the screening processes in a professional and efficient manner. Timely escalation of exceptions needs to be made to the AML Teams or Head of Compliance when necessary.\nMaintaining a current database of all information, documents, financial reports, and news on our accounts for Legal and Compliance vetting.\nResponding to internal audit requests and queries on KYC processes and client files relating to periodic reviews conducted.\nProducing periodic reports for client screening and for inactive account reviews.\nIdentify and execute process improvements, provide guidance and support on key process and technology initiatives to the business.\nPromote ideas for process improvement and assisting in their implementation.\nTo assist team members in managing and monitoring daily routine tasks for all securities, equity, derivatives and new future products as required.\nTo provide high quality customer service to internal and external customers within the Operations scope.\nTo assist in supporting post-execution processes for equities transactions of foreign and domestic institutional investor-clients, including trade allocation and booking, trade confirmation, trade matching, settlement of both clients and market trades and trade reporting.\nRequirements\nBachelor's Degree or above in Business or relevant disciplines.\nMinimum 0-3 years of experience in KYC/Client Onboarding functions and preferably within the banking industry.\nExperience with KYC in Institutions, Corporate, Family office and funds clientele preferred.\nExcellent communication skills (verbal and written) are a must-have, good prioritisation skills and ability to handle large information volume whilst meeting tight deadlines.\nGood communication skills in English will be preferred to facilitate communication with business colleagues as well as colleagues from other offices.\nGood understanding of constitutional documents and corporate structures is required.\nA working knowledge of KYC periodic review processes including not limited to KYC/Compliance/AML procedures and standards of Malaysia regulator is essential.\nKnowledge of financial industry with in-depth expertise in various lines of business, markets and instruments is a plus, in addition to front to back sales and trading processes.\nStrong attention to details, process oriented, time management, organizational, relationship building skills plus keen investigative skills.\nStay informed on CITIC CLSA Job Opportunities\nNot the right fit?
