(CFG) seeks a Manager, Software Engineering for its Charlotte, North Carolina location.\nResponsibilities:\nCombining technical expertise and strong leadership skills, the Manager will spearhead a results-driven engineering operation.\nDevelop, manage and retain a team of software engineers, setting measurable performance goals and providing regular feedback.\nCollaborate with architects, product managers, and other technical or non-technical stakeholders to define design approaches that are aligned with the customer-centric product vision.\nEnsure best engineering and documentation practices are understood and followed.\nSet clear expectations for quality and performance.\nCoordinate with peers within the organization to ensure seamless integration of functional workflows.\nBuilding strong relationships across departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.\nEnsure successful incremental product releases while driving to deadlines and optimizing investments.\nAssure quality through efficient management of team and resources.\nEvaluate and limit risk and vulnerabilities during the software development process by consistently employing industry best practices.\nProactively identify and address potential issues to ensure the stability and security of the products.\nQualifications:\nRequires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electronics Engineering or related field, followed by 10 years of progressive experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Technology Analyst, or related position.\nMust have at least 6 years of experience with the following:\nProject/Product development (Prime brokerage);\nRequirements gathering and analysis;\nSystem architecture implementation, testing and deployment;\nObject Oriented programming, Design, Development and Integration of Complex Enterprise Applications;\nDeveloping service based middle tier components using Java/J2EE and C#/.Net technologies;\nDatabase design and implementation;\nDeveloping XML applications; and\nScripting languages/Python/Scala;\nUtilizing Spring, Hibernate, SQL, Oracle, Message Queue, Java Messaging Services, RESTful/SOAP Web services, XML Schema, and Eclipse;\nParticipating in requirement elicitation, implementation of design, requirements gathering, and analysis; and\nInteracting with business partners to detail user requirements, develop and implement software modules, and perform integration testing with various downstream and upstream systems.\nRemote work permitted 4 days per week.\nWorksite: 4250 Congress Street, Charlotte, NC 28209 United States, 40 hrs/wk.
