This Advocate will understand the complexity of the intersection of poverty, homelessness, mental illness and substance use for our neighbors experiencing unsheltered homelessness.\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nCarry out the mission, vision and values of City Care\nWell-versed in community resources, developing a network of collaborative partners\nEncourage guests to receive services that will result in housing stability\nParticipate in a team culture of professional hospitality, confidentiality, teamwork, and safety among guests, interns, volunteers, staff, and collaborative partners\nAssist guests in daily check-ins and check-outs.\nMonitor storage areas and organize monthly cleanouts.\nManage inventory and proper storage of program supplies\nRequirements\nUnderstanding of the complexity of the intersection of poverty, homelessness, mental illness, substance use and recoverySkilled in verbal and written communication\n\nComputer literate, resulting in error-free data entry\nAbility to multitask and handle stressful and complex situations\nAbility to work as a member of a team to accomplish shared goals\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\nCurrent Oklahoma Driver's License\nPre-employment background check, driving record and UA\nReliable transportation\nPreferred\nProfessional experience navigating mental and physical health systems, benefits and resources\nBHCM-I or II; PRSS Certification\nWe believe in rewarding growth and commitment!
