Acting as the primary on-site representative for City, you will play a key role in driving operational outcomes, building strong stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the site consistently performs at a high level.\nYou will partner closely with Distribution Centre leadership and internal teams to align facilities management with operational priorities—balancing planned programs with reactive demands while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance asset performance.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nOperational Leadership – Lead all facilities management activities on site, ensuring high performance, reliability, and service delivery\nContractor & Workforce Management – Oversee contractors and technical teams, ensuring alignment to standards, performance, and safety expectations\nAsset & Maintenance Strategy – Drive preventative maintenance programs and optimise asset lifecycle performance\nStakeholder Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with site leadership, internal teams, and external partners\nFinancial & Commercial Oversight – Manage budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency and value creation\nHealth, Safety & Compliance – Ensure full compliance with HSE legislation, City policies, and site requirements\nContinuous Improvement – Identify, lead, and deliver initiatives that improve operational efficiency and site performance\nPerformance & Reporting – Monitor KPIs, manage workflows, and ensure visibility of performance across key stakeholders\n\nExperience & Expertise:\nEssential\nMinimum 5 years’ experience in a Facilities Manager or similar leadership role within a large-scale industrial or commercial environment\nProven experience managing complex sites with multiple stakeholders, contractors, and competing priorities\nStrong commercial acumen, including budget management and cost optimisation\nDemonstrated experience driving operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives\nStrong understanding of maintenance, asset management, and facilities operations\nExcellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills\nCurrent driver’s licence\nDesirable\nTrade or technical background, with progression into leadership roles\nExperience within distribution centres, logistics, or high-volume operational environments\nRelevant tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field\nTo be considered for this role you will have / be:\nA confident and accountable leader who can take full ownership of site performance\nHighly organised, with the ability to manage complex, fast-moving operational environments\nCommercially minded, with a strong focus on outcomes, efficiency, and value\nA strong communicator who can influence and build relationships at all levels\nA proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset\nSafety-led, with a deep commitment to risk management and compliance\n\nWhat’s on offer:\nFull time permanent leadership role within a growing national organisation\nOpportunity to lead a critical, high-impact Distribution Centre\nAutonomy to drive performance, improvements, and outcomes\nSupportive leadership team and strong organisational backing\nCareer progression opportunities within a large-scale FM business\n\n*The position requires the successful candidate to conduct a pre-employment medical, national police check and bankruptcy check* \n\nIf you would like to be part of a growing Australian Facilities Management business, we would love to hear from you.\nPlease apply by sending an updated resume and cover letter.
