There are no inmates on site at any time. Civeo Premium associates do not have any interaction with, nor access to, inmates.\nWe are seeking a Cook who will safely operate, properly use, and maintain cleanliness of all job-specific equipment while preparing food according to established standards. In this role, you will help ensure a safe and sanitary work environment by promoting the use of required PPE and maintaining strict adherence to the Health & Safety Program, the Occupational Health & Safety Act, WHMIS regulations, HACCP standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).\nKey Responsibilities\nOperate, maintain, and clean all assigned equipment according to approved procedures and the Sanitation Manual.\n\nUse and maintain all required PPE, including safety footwear, uniforms, cut-resistant gloves, goggles, sleeve guards, and hair/beard nets.\n\nFollow and enforce all Workplace Health & Safety Program requirements, the Occupational Health & Safety Act, WHMIS regulations, and safe work practices.\n\nMaintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment at all times.\n\nReport accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions promptly and support workplace investigations.\n\nAdhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), including a strict no-jewelry policy.\n\nComply with facility procedures such as key control, sharp control, and tool-shadow board requirements.\n\nUse proper tools for accurate portioning and task completion.\n\nSet up and maintain workstations with correct ergonomics and safe configuration.\n\nCommunicate effectively with supervisors and team members to support safe, efficient operations.\n\nPerform assigned duties according to scheduled hours, priorities, and production needs.\n\nFollow assigned work schedules and break periods.\n\nPerform additional tasks as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nPrevious experience in a commercial kitchen, food production, institutional food service, or manufacturing environment is required, including the safe operation of food production or kitchen equipment in accordance with sanitation and food safety standards.\n\nExperience working in a regulated environment with strong compliance to HACCP, GMP, WHMIS, and occupational health and safety requirements is considered an asset.\n\nPhysically capable of performing all assigned duties, including lifting a minimum of 25 lbs; lifting from floor to waist and waist to shoulder; bending, twisting, and reaching at or above shoulder height; standing for the entire shift; and pushing or pulling carts and wheeled equipment.\n\nAbility to work in a cold environment for the full duration of the shift and to comply with two-person lift procedures for all bins.\n\nProven ability to work independently, take initiative, manage responsibilities with minimal supervision, and adapt to changing work routines or priorities.\n\nStrong working knowledge of food safety standards, procedures, and equipment use.\n\nExcellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective English written and verbal communication skills.\n\nAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and a genuine commitment to customer service.\n\nSolid understanding of HACCP requirements and occupational health and safety responsibilities.\n\nMust wear appropriate, job-specific personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.\n\nMust obtain Advanced Food Safety Training (FST) certification within 90 days of employment.\n\nSuccessful completion of drug and alcohol screening, vulnerable sector check, criminal record check, and any other required security clearances.\n\nWage: $23.59/ per hour\nWe are dedicated to employment equity and continuously strive to enhance our diversity and inclusion practices, fostering a respectful and collaborative workforce.
